Vision plans vs. medical insurance

On the other hand, medical insurance covers visits related to eye injuries, infections, diseases, or chronic conditions like glaucoma or diabetes. If your exam involves diagnosing or treating a medical issue, we’ll bill your medical insurance rather than your vision plan.
